Default BOISE'S FIRST ZOMBIE WALK: saturday, october 21

"At any street corner the feeling of absurdity can strike any man in the face." - Albert Camus

friends,

tomorrow night will be the first ever zombie walk to hit the streets of boise! at 6pm, everyone that would like to participate should meet up at Neurolux, get fuled up with liquid inspiration if you wish, and around 7-ish, we'll set out on a walk thru downtown boise.

the idea is to dress up in your own interpretation of "zombie", walk about with others, and present a bit of absurdity in this ever-increasingly absurd world.

for visual inspiration, check out these photo collections: http://www.flickr.com/search/?d=post...biewalk&m=text

in participating in boise's first walk, we'll be joining with an ever-growing movement of occasional zombie-walking thru street of most of the major cities in the US and around the world . for a perspective on these other experiences, check out http://www.zombiewalk.com/forum/index.php we'll be posting pictures and media in the Idaho thread after the walk. (if you take some yourself, please be in touch so we can combine them all together)

do you need some hints at how to zombie yourself up? check out these sites for tips:

most importantly to me - this is about reflecting back a state of being - the zombie-somnambulist state that many people are coming out of but where some still remain - out to the world like a mirror . . . all the while having fun doing it.

where will the zombie walk end?? we'll end up at a zombie party in the east end, close to downtown. total walking time will be ~ one hour, give or take. attached is a rough outline of the lurch path thru the town.

join up in all your zombie amazingness and come to the Lux tomorrow night @ 6pm!

"Absurdity is what I like most in life, and there's humor in struggling in ignorance. If you saw a man repeatedly running into a wall until he was a bloody pulp, after a while it would make you laugh because it becomes absurd. But I don't just find humor in unhappiness - I find it extremely heroic the way people forge on despite the despair they often feel." - David Lynch
